Much like our own lives, the painting is not defined by a single moment, but by everything that came before it. Every conversation, every adventure, every setback, every triumph leaves its mark. Nothing is wasted. Each layer contributes to the whole.

Inspired by the song Slipnot! by the Grateful Dead, the work embraces transition and transformation. It’s feeling your way through the journey. It’s texture. It’s rhythm. It’s the build up of what’s around the corner.

For me, Slipknot is a reminder that life is not a straight line. We are always becoming. Always evolving. Always adding new layers to our own visual history. And sometimes the most beautiful parts of the journey are found not in the arrival, but in the unfolding.
